Why blogging in English?

English is the no.1 language on the Web. Roughly about 30% of all Internet users are English speaking (1st language, see World Internet Usage Statistics), not mentioning the increasing number of people all around the world that are bilingual or multilingual. However, this is – by far – the largest percentage of all languages spoken, if assigning only one language per person.
Moreover, according to latest reports, the English language is not going to lose its status as global language, since the number of people who actually use English is dramatically increasing, due to globalisation and education. Thus, since I want to reach as many Internet users and Web professionals as possible, I chose English. And since I have studied English at university, it is even more my choice, because you only keep up with a foreign language if you use it.
